RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice Sheikh Dr. Waleed Bin Mohammed Al-Samani approved on Monday the executive regulation of the commercial court system, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The regulation, which is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, includes a number of procedures and rules for the articles of the commercial court system.

It aims to raise the quality of the commercial judiciary and the speed of adjudication of disputes in order to consolidate the commercial environment in Saudi Arabia and raise the security of the commercial rights to attract investment. The new regulation includes 281 articles.

Commenting on the decision, Dr. Al-Samani, who is also the president of the Supreme Judicial Council, stressed that the commercial court system will be an important legislative arm for the work of these courts in order to achieve the quality of outcomes and efficiency of performance as well as to support the process of digital transformation.
