KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait on Tuesday reported 742 new coronavirus cases and four more deaths, raising the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections to 41,033 and the total number of fatalities to 334, the Health Ministry said in a statement carried by Kuwait News Agency.

The newly detected cases included 385 Kuwaiti nationals and 357 of expatriates from nationalities, the ministry's Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in his daily briefing.

Currently, 8,395 patients are receiving necessary treatment, including 165 in intensive care units, according to the statement.

Earlier in the day, the ministry said that 534 more patients have completely recovered from the deadly virus, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 32,304.

On June 18, Kuwait decided to ease the restrictions which were imposed following the outbreak of the pandemic in the country.
