KSrelief carries out water, sanitation projects in Yemen's Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Yemen — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued on Monday the implementation of water and environmental sanitation projects to preserve the lives of families in the Khokha district of Hodeidah Governorate in Yemen.

As part of the relief campaign, 357,000 liters of drinking water and 413,000 liters of non-drinking water were pumped into the tanks during the period from June 18-24, 2020, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The KSrelief also transferred waste and wastewater from the camps to the disposal sites, conducted maintenance of the tanks and bathrooms, and the implemented spraying campaigns to combat the vectors.

This comes within the framework of humanitarian efforts being provided by the Kingdom, represented by the KSrelief, for the Yemeni people to improve their living conditions during the current humanitarian crisis.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, Assistant General Supervisor of the KSrelief Eng. Ahmed Vin Ali Al-Baiz met with Ukrainian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Vakhrushev Vadym in Riyadh on Monday.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest in addition to means of enhancing cooperation to confront the coronavirus pandemic.
