JEDDAH — Qatar on Thursday 894 new coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 97,897, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Public Health.

The ministry announced three more deaths, raising the total number of virus-related fatalities in the country to 118.

The ministry also said that 2,632 more patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 86,597.

“While the coronavirus restrictions are gradually being lifted in the country, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following preventive measures: Adherence to physical spacing, wearing a face mask and washing hands regularly,” the health ministry in the statement.
