JEDDAH — Qatar on Friday reported 756 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country to 98,653, according to a statement from the country’s Ministry of Public Health.

The Qatari health ministry announced three more virus-related deaths, taking the total number of fatalities in the country so far to 121.

According to the ministry, 1,986 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries in the county to 88,583.

Over the past 24 hours, 10 people were admitted to intensive care units, taking the total number of people currently in the ICU to 185.

According to the ministry’s statement, there are 9,949 active cases in the country and it has conducted 5,910 more coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours, raising the total tests done in the country so far to 372,005.
