RIYADH — The Saudi universities’ team player Najd Fahd beat Australia’s Jessica 5-1 in the group stage of the FIFA 20 e-Football World Championship. The International Federation of University Sports organized the first Playstation electronic championship.

President of Saudi Universities Sports Federation Dr. Khalid Al-Muzaini congratulated Najd for this victory. He also noted the endeavor made by the federation to ensure participation of Saudi university students in international events.

“Representing the Kingdom in these international events is remarkable,” he said while wishing success to all representatives of the federation and the country who participated in this tournament.

The Saudi national team is represented by two players — Abdul Aziz Al-Wahhabi and Najd Fahd from Imam Muhammad Bin Saud University of Riyadh — in the tournament. — SG/SPA
