RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Thursday announced 3,183 new coronavirus cases and 41 deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom so far to 223,327 and virus-related fatalities to 2,100.
The ministry also said that 3,046 more patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection, raising the total number of recoveries to 161,096.
The highest of the new cases were recorded in Riyadh with 364 infections followed by Dammam with 247 and Jeddah with 246 cases.
Meanwhile, Al Hafouf, Taif and Al Mobarraz and Madinah registered 196, 181, 152 and 122 new infections respectively.
According to the ministry, there are currently 60,131 active cases in the Kingdom, including 2,225 critical patients, and all of them are receiving necessary medical care.
