NEW YORK — The Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism and Executive Director of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) Vladimir Ivanovich Voronkov praised Saudi Arabia’s participation in launching the UNCCT Expo accompanying the United Nations Virtual Counter-Terrorism Week.

In a statement delivered at the end of the United Nations Virtual Counter-Terrorism Week Friday evening, Voronkov expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the 31 countries that contributed to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Trust Fund.

Voronkov urged member states to take swift action to fulfill their international obligations and prevent terrorists from using the situation to persuade future generations to adopt radical ideas.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest donor country to the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Center. — SPA
