Recoveries outnumber new corona cases in Qatar

DOHA — A proactive and extensive testing of suspected cases has enabled Qatari authorities to identify a high number of positive infections in the country, the ministry of health said.

The ministry on Saturday reported 410 new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, along with 426 recoveries.

One new death was also reported.

With this, a total of 103,023 cases have recovered in the country, while total deaths stand at 154.

As many as 3,406 new COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the country, taking the total to 438,990 the ministry added.

Only 3,131 of the total cases are currently considered active, with 530 of these currently under acute hospital care.

Of these, 132 are currently in ICU, including four patients who were admitted over the last 24 hours. — Agencies
