RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has enhanced the readiness of its facilities due to the current situation caused by COVID-19 as it prepares itself to provide care to pilgrims.
In order to serve guests of God, the ministry has prepared several health facilities, including Mina Al Wadi Hospital, 29 health centers in Arafat, a field hospital, a mobile clinic, six highly equipped ambulances and three clinics at pilgrims' residences.
A number of medical and technical staff are also involved in providing health services to pilgrims.
The ministry has stepped up its preparation to deal with cases of heat stress and other heat-related ailments that are expected to occur this year with rising temperatures. It has equipped its facilities in the holy places to attend to cases of heat stress and heat stroke and treat them. It has procured water-spray fans that are effective in reducing cases of heat stress and heatstroke.
