KUWAIT — The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah left early Thursday for the US to seek further medical treatment following his recent successful surgery.

The Kuwaiti Emir was seen off at the airport by the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Cabinet ministers and several senior state officials.

The Kuwaiti Emir is accompanied in this trip by Deputy National Guard chief Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. — KUNA
