MINA — Muhammad Qasim Omsha, a Turkish national of Syrian origin, expressed his extreme joy and delight over getting an opportunity to perform this year’s exceptional Hajj.
“I can’t find words to express my feeling for having got this opportunity. The excellent arrangements that I witnessed at the holy sites were beyond my imagination,” he said while thanking the Saudi authorities for their utmost keenness on the care and safety of pilgrims.
Speaking to Okaz/Saudi Gazette, Omsha lauded the great services and facilities that the pilgrims enjoyed in Makkah and the holy sites. “We were provided with everything... Even the barbers were brought into our residential places in Mina,” he added.
Omsha applied for Hajj through the website and received a message confirming his selection. “So I had completed all preparations and procedures before heading to Makkah and the holy sites.”
Omsha was born in Makkah and finished the first three phases of school education in Jeddah and then left for Syria to pursue electrical engineering specialization at a Syrian university in 1429 H (2008). “When the situation in Syria worsened, I returned to Makkah and then joined Taibah University in Madinah. Afterward, I traveled to Turkey to complete studies there,” he said.
Omsha was granted with Turkish citizenship while he was in Turkey. After the completion of his studies, he returned to the Kingdom.
