RIYADH — Saudi Arabia recorded 1,467 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 287,262, the ministry of health announced on Saturday.
Thirty-seven people died due to complications caused by the virus, bringing the COVID-19 death toll to 3,130.
The total number of recoveries rose to 250,440 after 1,492 people recovered, the ministry spokesman was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying.
Riyadh with 101 new corona cases topped the list on Saturday. It was followed by 61 in Madinah, 55 in Khamis Mushayt, 47 each in Dammam and Jazan, 46 in Hufof, 44 in Abha, 43 in Jeddah, 41 each in Rafah and Tabuk, 40 in Makkah, 39 in Buraidah, 27 each in Dhahran Al-Junoub and Najran, 26 in Sarat Ubaidah, 24 in Wadi Al-Dwassir, 22 in Taif, and 20 each in Mobarraz, Bareq, Hafr Al-Batin and Hail.
The rest of the cases were scattered around the governorates and cities across the Kingdom, the ministry said.
