RIYADH — Saudi Arabia is participating in all global efforts to support researches to develop successful coronavirus vaccines or treatments for the deadly disease, said Dr. Mohamed Al-Abdel Ali, the assistant minister of health and spokesman of the ministry.

“The work is being carried out continuously by the competent authorities to ensure and follow up all that is new with regard to vaccines. The ministry is also working to provide any vaccine, which gets approval and combines two things — efficacy and safety.

He said that among those efforts is what was announced recently about the start of the clinical application trial or research for some of these vaccines.
