RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan received a phone call from his Iraqi counterpart Fouad Hussain, the Saudi Press Agency reported early Thursday.

Prince Farhan offered his condolences and sympathy for the Iraqi military officers who were killed in a drone attack carried out by the Turkish military forces inside the Iraqi territories.

In their talks, both ministers rejected all kinds of violations and threats to the security and stability of Arab countries.

They explored ways to develop joint cooperation in various fields to serve the interests of the two countries.

The two ministers also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

Late Wednesday, the Iraqi foreign minister also called his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry to discuss the latest developments in the region.

They denounced any Turkish practices that detract from Iraq's sovereignty and violate its territories.

In the talks, the Shoukry extended Egypt's full support for Iraq in preserving its security, according to a statement released by Egypt’s foreign ministry.

The two ministers agreed to maintain coordination to counter current challenges, according to the statement.
