Jazan Civil Defense dismantles a mine washed away from Yemen

JAZAN — The Deputy Spokesman for the Civil Defense Directorate in Jazan Region, Lt. Col. Muhammad Bin Hassan Al Samghan, has stated that the Civil Defense Control and Guidance Center in Ahad Al-Masarihah Governorate had dismantled a mine in the region.

The center had received a report about the discovery of a mine disguised as a rock that was washed away by flooding from Yemeni lands to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He said that specialists immediately rushed to the site, took necessary security precautions while handling such cases and implemented approved procedures. No injuries were reported, he added.
