RIYADH — The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan have condemned the continued launching of missiles and projectiles by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen targeting Saudi Arabia, media reports reported.

A statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia regarding these terrorist attacks against civilians.

The statement said the UAE stands with Saudi Arabia in one line against every threat to its security and stability, and supporting it in all measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of citizens and residents.

The statement emphasized that the security of the UAE and Saudi Arabia is indivisible, and that any threat or danger posed to the Kingdom is absolutely a threat to the UAE.

It pointed out that the continuation of these attacks illustrates the nature of the danger facing the region from the Houthi coup, and considered it new evidence of these militias’ efforts to undermine security and stability.

Kuwait said the Houthis’ targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, by launching ballistic missiles, is a violation of all international conventions and norms, and a threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom and the region, the Kuwait News Agency quoted an official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying.

The source appealed to the international community to quickly assume its responsibilities to put an end to Houthi attacks, stressing that Kuwait fully stands by the Kingdom and supports it in all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability.

The spokesman for the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Dhaifallah Al-Fayez, affirmed his country’s condemnation and rejection of the cowardly Houthi terrorist attacks.

Al-Fayez also reiterated that the security of Saudi Arabia and Jordan is one and indivisible and that any threat to the security of Riyadh is a threat to the security and stability of the entire region, praising the capabilities of the Arab coalition forces and their success in confronting these attacks and intercepting and destroying the missile. — SG
