NAJRAN — A woman in her twenties has given birth to quadruplets (all males) after a successful Caesarian section at Sharourah General Hospital in Najran province, thanks to the care and efforts of the obstetricians and gynecologists at the hospital, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

Najran's Health Department said that the mother had been suffering from infertility for six years. After successive visits, necessary tests, examinations, and undergoing appropriate treatment, the woman finally conceived.

During her periodic checkup, it was found out that she was pregnant with quadruplets, and after 36 weeks of pregnancy, a team of gynecologists and obstetricians performed a Caesarian section without complications for the mother and infants, whose weight ranged between 1.58 to 1,89 kg, and they were in good health. They are receiving proper care and follow-up in the neonatal department of the hospital. — SG
