Saudi Arabia reports 1,287 new coronavirus cases, 42 deaths

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry on Health on Thursday reported 1,287 new coronavirus cases and 42 more virus-related deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 303,973 and the death toll to 3,548.

The ministry also said that a total of 1,385 more patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 275,476.

According to the ministry, there are currently 24,949 active cases in the Kingdom out of which 1,682 are critical.

Jeddah recorded the highest number of infections in the Kingdom with 68 new cases, while Makkah reported 67 cases and Jazan 64.
