ABU DHABI — The United Arab Emirates on Thursday recorded 461 new coronavirus cases and two more deaths, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 65,802 and virus-related fatalities to 369, the Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement carried by state news agency WAM.

The new patients, all of whom are stable and receiving necessary health care, were detected after the ministry conducted 72,283 new coronavirus tests in the past 24 hours among different segments of the society, using the best and latest medical examination techniques.

The ministry also announced that a total of 131 more patients recovered completely from the deadly disease after receiving the necessary health care, taking the total of recoveries to 58,153 cases in the UAE.

The ministry expressed its regret and sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for a speedy recovery for all the active cases. It called upon community members to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to instructions, and adhere to social distancing to ensure the health and safety of all.
