ISLAMABAD — Pakistan has strongly condemned the recent missile and drone attacks launched by Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Saudi Arabia, reiterating its full support and solidarity with the Kingdom against “any threats to its security and territorial integrity”.

In a statement, Pakistan’s foreign ministry of Pakistan said: “Pakistan appreciates the successful interception of the missile and drone, which prevented the loss of innocent lives.”

“We call for an immediate cessation of such attacks. Pakistan reiterates its full support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia against any threats to its security and territorial integrity,” the statement added.

The Arab Coalition forces announced on Saturday it destroyed an explosive-laden drone and a ballistic missile launched by Iran-backed Houthi militia in Yemen, targeting Saudi Arabia.

A statement by coalition spokesperson Col. Turki Al-Maliki said the unmanned aerial vehicle launched by the Houthi rebels to the south of Saudi Arabia, and a ballistic missile fired at Jazan in the southwest were successfully intercepted, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.
