KSRelief continues to deliver medical aid to Lebanese hospitals

BEIRUT — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) continued delivering medical assistance to Lebanese hospitals that provide free services to beneficiaries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The KSRelief handed over the medical aid on Monday to Rafik Hariri University Hospital in Beirut in the presence of the Director of KSrelief's Office in Lebanon, Fahad Al-Qannas, and the secretary-general of High Relief Commission in Lebanon, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Khair.

He thanked Saudi Arabia under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for the urgent humanitarian aid provided through the
KSRelief, noting that the Kingdom has always stood in solidarity with the Lebanese people during their times of crises including the current circumstances following the Beirut port explosion.

Maj. Gen. Khair praised the quality assistance provided by the
KSRelief to the hospital as it is in urgent need of it, especially in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

He pointed out the positive results of the continuous coordination and transparency in work between the authority and the KSRelief's office in Lebanon.

The director of Rafik Hariri University Hospital appreciated the assistance provided by the Kingdom to Lebanon, noting that this hospital was established with a generous gift from the Kingdom, which continues to provide its unstoppable support.

He praised the quality of the advanced equipment provided by the
KSRelief, taking into account repercussions of the coronavirus crisis, especially as the number of infections in Lebanon is continuing to rise. The KSRelief provided devices that will help set up a new section in the hospital to deal with pregnant women and premature babies infected with the coronavirus.

Dr. Firas Al-Abyadh thanked the leadership, government, and people of Saudi Arabia for what they had provided to Lebanon and its people to overcome the repercussions of the devastating blast.
