Bahrain COVID-19 cases up, recoveries down

MANAMA — The Bahrain health ministry on Tuesday reported 389 new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, along with 330 recoveries.

On Monday, the health ministry reported 292 new cases, along with 392 recoveries.

Of the new cases, 142 were among expatriate workers, 242 were contacts of active cases, and five were travel related.

One new death was also reported. The death toll rose to 185.

As many as 9,365 COVID-19 tests were carried out on Monday, the ministry said, taking the total number of recoveries to 46,311.

There are currently 33 COVID-19 cases in a critical condition, and 59 cases receiving treatment. A total of 3,190 cases are stable out of a total of 3,223 active cases. — Agencies
