RIYADH — Saudi Arabia on Saturday reported 987 new COVID-19 cases, along with 1,038 recoveries, marking the Kingdom's lowest daily increase in months. There were 1,069 COVID-19 cases in the country on Friday. Twenty-seven deaths were also recorded during the past 24 hours, the health ministry said.
This takes the total reported cases in the country to 313,911, and recoveries to 288,441. The death tally has now climbed to 3,840, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying.

Makakh topped the list of cities with new cases and reported 69 infections on Saturday. There were 58 cases in Tabuk, 51 in Jeddah, 48 in Riyadh, 44 in Jazan, 37 in Hail, 35 in Hofuf, 33 in Sabya, 32 in Madinah, 28 in Abu Arish, 25 in Mobarraz, 23 in Buraidah and 22 in Baesh.
The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, Dr. Al-Abdel Ali said.
