MANAMA — Nawaf Mohammed Al Jishi, chairman of the Bahrain Society of the Private Training Institutes (BSPTI), confirmed the readiness of the training institutes to resume their work on Thursday following the directives of the Coordination Committee presided by Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, deputy supreme commander and first deputy prime minister.

Al Jishi noted the circular published Tuesday by the Minister of Labor and Social Development Jamil Bin Ali Humaidan, regarding the gradual resumption of the training process in the institutions of the training sector, given the importance this sector represents in the optimal investment of human resources in the labor market, the development of their capabilities and professional skills, and their career improvement.

“The training institutes is keen to facilitate the work of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of ensuring the institutes’ adhere to health requirements and managing the process of resuming training, to ensure maintaining the health of the trainees in addition to all the educational and administrative staff in the training institutes.

“This will be achieved by measuring the temperature of all the institution’s employees, the training staff, and the trainees on daily basis, and carry out sterilization operations to the fullest, and to adhere to the requirements of social distancing like providing masks, sanitizers, and others,” Al Jishi said.

Al Jishi noted what was mentioned in the circular of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of encouraging and stimulating virtual training by various means, with the possibility of combining classroom and virtual training as determined by the type of program, in addition to field training and holding international program examinations.

“Reopening of the training institutes boosts our optimism about the speed of re-supporting the training and rehabilitation programs for Bahrainis. This support represents the fundamental pillar in the work of these institutes to train and qualify Bahrainis in cooperation with the Labor Fund Tamkeen, as Tamkeen is always eager to consult with the Bahrain Society of the Private Training Institutes in this regard,” he added.

He emphasized that many training institutes have invested their time during the past months in planning to launch training programs that effectively meet the needs of the labor market for the Bahraini manpower which is capable of dealing effectively with the work shifts imposed by the pandemic.

The BSPTI chairman said: “We affirm the Society’s keenness to maintain constant communication with esteemed partners in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Education & Training Quality Authority, and the Labor Fund Tamkeen to achieve the common goals of maintaining training for job seekers, developing Bahraini individuals and building the capabilities of national cadres and upgrading them. Ultimately, providing private sector establishments with trained and qualified national cadres, and preserving the gains of the training sector.” — SG
