No significant change in Saudi corona cases

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia confirmed 775 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 323,012 on Wednesday, the health ministry said. The Kingdom recorded 781 infections on Tuesday.

Twenty-eight people succumbed to the virus on Wednesday, health ministry spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as saying.

The Kingdom also recorded 720 recoveries. The total number of recoveries now stand at 298,966.

Dammam topped the list with 54 new infections recorded on Wednesday. There were 51 cases in Makkah, 45 in Jeddah, 40 each in Hufof and Riyadh, 37 in Madinah, 36 in Yanbu, 33 in Ar'ar, 30 in Qatif, 28 in Al-Mobarraz and 21 in Dhahran

The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom, Dr. Al-Abdel Ali said.

Saudi Arabia recorded its highest daily on increase on June 19 when 4,301 cases were confirmed over a 24-hour period.
