King Salman, China's president hold talks on G20 coronavirus efforts, bilateral ties

NEOM — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman made a phone call on Wednesday to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

During the call, they discussed the work of the G20 being presided over by Saudi Arabia this year and the efforts made within its meetings to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques pointed out that the Kingdom is keen on working with the G20 countries to serve the people, support the global economy, and mitigate the pandemic's implications.

For his part, the Chinese president congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the achievements made by the work of the G20 which had a vital role in addressing the challenges emanating from the pandemic as well as the Kingdom's pivotal role in coordinating cooperation among the parties.

The two sides reviewed strategic relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields.
