Three Saudis arrested for vandalizing speed radars

JEDDAH —
Three Saudis have been arrested after they allegedly shot and set fire to speed radars in Makkah region, police said.

Two of the trio shot radars in Taif, while the third set fire to another radar, said Maj. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, spokesperson for the Makkah Police, was quoted by local media as saying.

The spokesman did not point to the reason behind the offence. The arrested Saudis have been were remanded in custody pending trial, Maj. Al-Ghamdi added.
