SAGO buys 745,000 ton of wheat in latest tender

The Saudi Grains Organization (SAGO) has bought 745,000 ton of wheat at its latest international purchasing tender.

Of the total, SAGO bought 60,000 ton of wheat of 11% protein at $245.37 a ton for November delivery, the buying agency said.

It also bought 685,000 ton of 12.5% protein wheat at the average price of $251.13 a ton for delivery periods between November and January.

SAGO, Saudi Arabia's state grain buyer, in a statement issued by its Governor Ahmad Al-Fares on Monday said origins offered in the tender were the European Union, Black Sea region, North America (excluding Canada), South America and Australia with the seller having the option of selecting the origin supplied.
