Saudi Arabia records 672 new coronavirus cases, 33 deaths

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health on Tuesday announced 672 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 326,930.


The ministry also announced 33 more deaths from complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 4,338.

The total number of recovered cases in Saudi Arabia rose to 305,022 after 1,092 more people were reported to have recovered from the deadly disease, pushing the recovery rate to nearly 93 percent.

Meanwhile, active cases in the Kingdom have come down to 17,570 out of which 1,286 are in critical condition.

The holy city of Makkah topped the list of cities with 62 new infections reported on Tuesday, followed by Madinah with 61 cases and Jeddah with 45.

Meanwhile, Riyadh, Hufuf and Dammam recorded 44, 38, and 37 new cases respectively. The rest of the cases were scattered in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom.
