Kuwait COVID-19 cases near 100,000

KUWAIT CITY — A total of 385 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported in Kuwait in the last 24 hours, which brings the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 99,434, the ministry of health said on Sunday.

Three people died due to complications caused by COVID-19, raising the virus-related death toll in the country to 584, health ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said.

Meanwhile, the total number of recoveries in the country climbed to 90,168 after 670 people recovered from the virus.

Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 707,292 after 2,263 tests were done over the past 24 hours.

There are 98 patients receiving intensive care treatment, Dr. Al-Sanad added, according to the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. — Agencies
