KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait on Thursday recorded 552 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 101,851, according to the country’s health ministry spokesman.

The spokesman also said that two more have died from complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities in the country to 592.

There are 8,298 active cases who are receiving necessary medical care of which 101 are in intensive care units, the spokesman added.

According to the spokesman, the ministry 4,516 additional tests over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of COVID-19 examination done in the country to 725,025.

Earlier in the day, the health ministry said that 620 more patients have recovered from the deadly disease over the past 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries in the country to 92,961.
