Plans to ensure safety of Umrah pilgrims discussed

MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques held a meeting here on Wednesday to chalk out plans to ensure a safe journey of pilgrims from their arrival points to the holy places and back to their temporary residences in the Kingdom following the gradual resumption of Umrah pilgrimage.

During the meeting, which was presided over by Naif Al-Matrafi, the undersecretary for planning and development at the presidency and attended by officials in charge of guiding worshipers during performing the circumambulation ritual, details of the coronavirus plan were thoroughly discussed, including operational, sterilization, and medical cleansing procedures as well as traffic and security measures. — SG
