Australian ambassador praises Saudi efforts to fight corruption

RIYADH — Australian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Radwan Jawdat has lauded Saudi Arabia’s efforts in combating corruption in a transparent manner during his virtual meeting with Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) president Mazen Bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous.

During their meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

In his talks with the Australian envoy, Nazaha chief stressed that the government led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman was keen on G20's adoption, under the Saudi presidency, of a number of pioneering initiatives to strengthen the efforts of the international community in fighting the corrupt and recovering as well as returning stolen public funds to the country of origin.

For his part, the Australian ambassador sought to strengthen cooperation between Nazaha and its counterpart in Australia.
