Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work honors Dr. Al Eid

MANAMA — Shaikh Isa Bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work honored Dr. Kawthar Al Eid, member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), as one of the pioneers of voluntary work in Bahrain among the national cadres on the front lines tackling COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Al Eid was one of the 19 prominent volunteers honored for their voluntary work which contributed to protecting the health and safety of citizens and residents and tackling COVID-19 pandemic.

The BRCS praised on this occasion the efforts made by Shaikh Isa Bin Ali to inspire volunteers and enhance their contribution in various fields of voluntary work in the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting the role of the Good Word Society in managing this award, and the substantial development it has witnessed over the past ten years.

The BRCS congratulated Dr. Al Eid on being honored with this prestigious award, expressing the pride of the Society for all its members who perform immeasurable efforts in various fields of voluntary work.

For her part, Dr. Al Eid expressed her profound appreciation for the role that Shaikh Isa Bin Ali plays in supporting and strengthening the values of voluntary work in Bahrain, and his constant interest in supporting and motivating volunteers.

"This honor provides a significant incentive for all volunteers to do more in the service of their leadership and their country," She said.

"Granting the award this year to national cadres working in the front lines signifies a generous tribute to them, appreciation for their efforts, and recognition of their exceptional contributions in mitigating the repercussions and effects of the pandemic in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

“It also highlights the noble role that volunteers play in serving their societies, and their courage, dedication and eagerness to protect citizens and residents from the spread of this virus," Dr. Al Eid added. — SG
