Coronavirus cases continue to drop; recoveries on uptick

323 new infections, and 25 fatalities reported over the past 24 hours in KSA

RIYADH — The daily coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia continued to drop, with 323 new infections reported on Sunday, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The ministry also announced 25 more deaths from complications caused by COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections and the virus-related death toll in the Kingdom to 339,267 and 5,043 respectively.

Of the news cases, Madinah recorded 64, Riyadh 27, Hafouf 21. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom.

Active cases have also dropped sharply in the Kingdom with 8,894 reported on Sunday out of which 826 are critical.

The ministry also announced that 593 more patients have fully recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total number of recoveries to 325,330.
