Global AI Summit begins with eye to establish practical and effective system

RIYADH — Under the patronage of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, the Global AI Summit began its works Wednesday under the slogan: "AI for the Good of Humanity."

More than 200 experts and decision-makers are participating in the global summit organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA).

The summit includes dialogues of global importance in terms of recovering from the pandemic or trends that shape the field of artificial intelligence.

During the dialogues, they will also discuss some of strategic considerations necessary to establish a practical and effective system for artificial intelligence, encouraging cooperation between leaders in this field, and exploring appropriate national strategic options.

The works of the Global AI Summit are broadcast directly on the official website and through its social media accounts: Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, and the public can interact with the summit's works via the hashtag #GlobalAISummit.

The Global AI Summit comes in the context of the Kingdom's endeavors to achieve its global leadership aspirations through the data-based economy and artificial intelligence.

The summit includes highlighting the role of the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) in the strategic leadership of the alternative economy in cooperation with many relevant parties to contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. — SPA
