813 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths, 718 recoveries, reported in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait on Wednesday recorded 813 new COVID-19 cases and seven more virus-related deaths over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections and fatalities in the country to 118,531 and 721 respectively, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health carried by state news agency KUNA.

According to the ministry’s spokesman, there are currently 7,894 active cases in the country out of which 130 are receiving treatment in intensive care units.

A total of 7,560 tests were conducted over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 examinations in the country so far to 849,662, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, 718 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 109,916. — SG
