RIYADH — Vice President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee (SAOC) Prince Fahad Bin Jalawi and Princess Dilayel Bint Nahar, director of sports and federations relations at SAOC, awarded 30 women trainees with their doping control officer (DCO) certificates Monday.

The 30 women trainees had successfully completing the 1st womens’ training course for Doping Control Officers organized by the Saudi Arabian Anti-Doping Committee (SAADC) under supervision of President Dr. Mohammed Salih Alqunbaz. Secretary-General Abdulaziz Almsaad supervised the event at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh.

The three days workshop covered the main areas of; detection, awareness, and training and included both written and practical exams to obtain the certificate. According to the SAADC officials these DCOs play a crucial role and have a great responsibility that leads to the success of sporting events at all levels.

Prince Fahad thanked the trainees for their commitment and progress in obtaining their certificates and wished them all the success in their mission.

He added, “We are proud of our Saudi women and what they are achieving in this field of sports including at SAADC.”

He also thanked the SAADC for the developmental steps they have provided that contribute to raising the quality and efficiency of the national capacity to carry out the tasks of doping control, and maintain a clean sports environment, safe, and free of doping.
