Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced on Sunday the launch of a new mechanism to receive domestic workers at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

As part of the new mechanism, recruitment offices and companies will be responsible for receiving and accommodating domestic workers who have been hired through brokers and those arriving on the exit and return system.

The new mechanism is already in place at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

According to the new mechanism, recruitment companies and offices have to receive domestic workers who arrive for the first time immediately after they complete their entry procedures at the airports by the Jawazat while employers need to receive domestic workers arriving on the exit and reentry system directly and the task of receiving them is under the responsibility of employers.

The new mechanism will be applied in other international airports in the Kingdom, and the date of its commencement will be announced later.
