Allies denounce continued drone attacks by Houthis militia targeting Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s allies have strongly condemned the continuous attempts of the Iran-backed Houthi militia to systematically and deliberately target civilians and civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia.

In a statement on Wednesday, Bahrain’s foreign ministry condemned the launching of a ballistic missile toward Najran, as well as six explosive-laden drones toward Saudi territory, targeting the security of citizens and residents and their safety.

The Bahraini foreign minister commended the vigilance and efficiency of the Arab Coalition in intercepting and destroying ballistic missiles and drones.

The ministry also affirmed Bahrain’s unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia against all that threatens its security and stability, calling on the international community to condemn these terrorist attacks that threaten the security and stability of the Kingdom.

The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a statement on Wednesday stressed that the recent increase of Houthi terrorist attacks against Saudi Arabia is a dangerous escalation.

The ministry said the UAE reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia against all threats to civilians, affirming its support for all measures taken by Saudi authorities to maintain the country's security and stability.

The UAE ministry also affirmed that the security of the UAE and that of Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and any threat facing the Kingdom is considered a threat to the security and stability of the UAE.

The continuation of these attacks illustrated the danger facing the region from the Houthis, reflecting this militia’s endeavor to undermine the region's security and stability, the UAE foreign ministry’s statement added.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Dhaifallah Al-Fayez reiterated Jordan's condemnation and rejection of these repeated cowardly terrorist attacks.

Ambassador Al-Fayez confirmed Jordan's full support to the Kingdom's efforts toward defending its security and stability and protecting its people.

Al-Fayez said that any threat to the security of of Saudi Arabia is a threat to the security and stability of the entire region.

He lauded the capabilities of the Arab Coalition and their success in countering these attacks and intercepting and destroying the drones.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has also condemned the Houthi militia's continued" terrorist acts".

In a statement on Thursday, the GCC Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf said: "These attacks are a flagrant violation of international laws and norms, and constitute a threat to the security and stability of the GCC states and the region, he said, stressing that the security and stability of the GCC countries are indivisible."

Al Hajraf reiterated the GCC stand by Saudi Arabia and support the measures it takes to preserve its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and expatriates on its lands.

He called on the international community to stand firmly against the Houthi militia and those behind it in its continuous attempts to destabilize the security and peace of the region.
