760 new COVID-19 cases, 4 deaths, 552 recoveries reported in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait recorded on Thursday 760 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 124,666, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health carried by state news agency KUNA.

The ministry also announced that four more patients died due to complications caused by the deadly virus, taking the total number of fatalities to 767.

According to the ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, there are currently 8,424 active cases in the country out of which 104 are receiving treatment in intensive care units.

A total of 8,147 tests were conducted over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of COVID-19 examinations in the country so far to 905,133, Dr. Al-Sanad said.

Earlier in the day, the ministry announced that a total of 552 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 115,475. — SG
