ADEN — The World Health Organization (WHO) conducted here area-wise fog spraying and launched a health awareness campaign to curb dengue fever, in partnership with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

The WHO seeks, through its partnership with the KSrelief, to enhance the health and preventive aspect, in all the provinces of the Aden Governorate, Yemen, and provide protection for 1,700,000 people.

This campaign comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief aid, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for the Yemeni people.

In Hajjah, Yemen, the Emergency Center for Epidemic Control has continued to provide treatment services to beneficiaries, in Hajjah Governorate with the support of KSrelief.

During the period from Oct. 15 to 21, 2020, the registration and screening department received 680 patients, the observation department received 213 patients, the admitting clinic also received 62 patients, and the epidemiological department received 680 patients.

The health awareness department also saw 614 beneficiaries, while the patient's referral department served 48 patients and the center provided 693 individuals with medications.

In Taiz, KSrelief distributed 1,000 cartons of dates to displaced families, benefiting more than 1,000 families. This comes within the framework of the relief and humanitarian projects, which reached 512 ones, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, in various sectors for the Yemeni people in all Yemen regions without discrimination.

In Hodeidah, the Emergency Nutritional Medical Clinics of KSrelief continued providing treatment services in Hodeidah Governorate, Yemen, during last week. The total number of the beneficiaries from Oct. 15 to 21, 2020, was 7,123 patients, with various medical conditions, in different clinics and departments.

In Hajjah, the Mobile Medical Clinics of KSrelief continued providing treatment services in Abs Province, Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. The total number of the beneficiaries from Oct. 14 to 21, 2020, was 503 patients, with various medical conditions, in different clinics and departments. These clinics have provided 121 individuals with medications.

Meanwhile, Al-Jada Health Center continued providing treatment services to beneficiaries, in Hajjah governorate, with the support of KSrelief. During the period from Oct. 15 to 21, 2020, the clinics and departments of Al-Jada Health Center received 2,174 beneficiaries. The laboratory department also received 422 people and the health center provided 1,236 individuals with medications.

KSrelief hands over Dialysis

Center Building to Somalia


In Mogadishu, KSrelief handed over here Saturday the building of the dialysis center to the Ministry of Health of the Federal Republic of Somalia, where the center will be used, upon the request of the Somali Ministry of Health, as a temporary headquarters for examining and treating people with the novel coronavirus.

KSrelief will continue the construction after the finishing treatment of the patients, as a contribution from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, in alleviating the suffering of Somali people as a result of this COVID-19 pandemic.

The ceremony of handing over the center building to the Somali Ministry of Health took place, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Somalia Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Ghani Khayyat and a number of officials.

The Kingdom, represented by the KSrelief, is implementing many relief projects and development programs in Somalia in various educational, health, water and sanitation sectors. — SPA
