AL-MUKALLA — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched Saturday a volunteer medical campaign for open-heart surgeries and catheterizations for adults of low-income families in Al-Mukalla, Hadhramaut Governorate, which will last until Nov. 6, 2020.

The medical team performed successful six catheterizations and one open-heart surgery on the first day of the campaign.

This campaign comes within the various volunteer campaigns that are funded and implemented by KSrelief in many countries under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman.

Meanwhile, the mobile medical clinics of KSrelief have continued providing treatment services, in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. The total number of beneficiaries from Oct. 14 to 21, 2020, was 156 patients, with various medical conditions, in different clinics and departments. These clinics have provided 280 individuals with medications.

KSrelief has also continued implementing water supply and environmental sanitation project in Hajjah. During the period from Oct. 15 to 21, 2020, 694,000 liters of non-drinking water and 518,000 liters of drinking water were pumped into tanks, benefiting 6,320 people.

In Al-Khawkhah, Yemen, KSrelief continued implementing water supply and environmental sanitation project, in Hodeidah Governorate. During the period from Oct. 15 to 21, 2020, 363,000 liters of drinking water and 413,000 liters of non-drinking water were pumped into tanks.

This comes within the framework of humanitarian and relief projects being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for the Yemeni people. — SPA
