Forum seeking to create a global platform for social innovation opened

RIYADH — Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Majid Bin Abdulrahim Al-Ghanimi inaugurated Sunday the International Social Innovation Forum organized by the Ministry Human Resources and Social Development and the G20 Saudi Secretariat within the program of international conferences held on the sidelines of the Saudi G20 Presidency, in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat).

At the outset of his opening speech, Al-Ghanimi stressed that the forum aspires to create a global platform for social innovation, to share practices and solutions for developing societies and the way to identify social needs, concluding by thanking all partners, organizers, attendees and participants.

The forum focuses on several topics, including educational programs specializing in social innovation, the role of educational institutions in social innovation, methodologies of systemic thinking, highlighting the private sector and the importance of its role in the fields of innovation, in addition to the best initiatives to finance social innovation. — SPA
