Arab Coalition destroys 2 armed drones fired by Houthis targeting Saudi Arabia

RIYADH — Arab Coalition forces on Monday intercepted and destroyed an armed drone launched by Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Saudi Arabia.

In a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency, the coalition spokesman Col. Turki Al-Malki said: “The Joint Coalition Forces on Monday intercepted and destroyed in the Yemeni airspace a bomb-laden drone launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian facilities in the Kingdom."

Later in the day, the coalition forces intercepted and destroyed another explosive-laden drone targeting the southern region of the Kingdom.

The Houthi militia has stepped up cross-border drone attacks recently in blatant defiance of the international humanitarian law and its customary rules. — SPA
