MANAMA — The body of Bahrain’s late Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, who died in the United States on Wednesday at the age of 84, was buried in the Hunainiyah cemetery in Riffa on Friday, Bahrain News Agency reported.

Earlier in the day, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa performed the funeral prayer for the late prime minister at the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Mosque in Riffa.

Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa also performed the funeral prayer, along with senior members of the royal family, senior officers of the Bahrain Defense Force, Interior Ministry, and National Guard.

The king then received condolences in the presence of the crown prince on the death of late Prince Khalifa from senior members of the royal family.

They offered to the king deepest condolences, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in vast paradise, protect the king and bless him with good health and happiness.

The king thanked them all for their sincere condolences, sympathy, and noble feelings, praying to Allah the Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in vast paradise.
