RIYADH — The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi has regarded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's hosting of the G20 leaders summit as historic, adding that it reflects the pivotal role Saudi Arabia plays at regional and international levels.

He added that it is an opportunity for the world to see the Kingdom's Vision 2030 due to the similarity of the goals of G20, especially concerning achieving macroeconomic stability, sustainable development, promoting trade and investment, and empowering women.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister regarded the G20 summit as a way to enhance global efforts by working with leaders, ministers, communication groups, and international organizations to discuss the most prominent international challenges, especially issues related to global labor markets and employment.

He also indicated that the fourth group meeting on Sept. 10 marked the conclusion of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's efforts in promoting policies that support inclusive growth, employment, and social protection, and confirming its efforts to enhance the economic recovery process from the effects on labor markets and societies by COVID-19. — SPA
