UAE, France discuss ways to boost defense cooperation

ABU DHABI — Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the deputy supreme commander of the armed forces in the United Arab Emirates, received on Monday French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly.

Sheikh Mohamed and Parly discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations as well as cooperation in military and defense affairs.

They exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, in addition to the recent regional developments and the efforts being made on them.

The meeting was attended by UAE's Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, and members of the delegation accompanying the French minister.
