The Group of Twenty, or G20, is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. Collectively, G20 members represent around 80% of the world’s economic output, two-thirds of global population and three-quarters of international trade.

G20 is a leading forum of the world’s major economies that seeks to develop global policies in order to address current pressing challenges. The participants in G20 Summit are Heads of State of Governments from 19 countries plus the European Union.

Saudi Arabia is the first Arab country to ever host the G20 Presidency. The Leaders' Summit has another first — for it will be for the first time that the event will be held virtually over two days, on November 21-22, 2020, because of the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

Saudi Arabia has planned systematically, held virtual meetings, and developed an accurate agenda to introduce policies and initiatives that will fulfill the hopes of people of the world.

Saudi Arabian Presidency has selected the theme, 'Realizing Opportunities of the 21st Century For All'. And in the yearlong Presidency has worked diligently to realize the global hopes of a caring world with a strong leadership that has helped overcome these challenging times.

Saudi Arabia is not only a key player in the region; it plays an important role in stabilizing the global economy. The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 closely aligns with the core G20 objectives of macroeconomic stability, sustainable development, empowerment of women and increased flow of trade and investment. The global economy and politics are intertwined and interchangeable to shape world affairs.
